Improving health care access for all Ghanaians
Our Programs
- Assessing, rating, and improving the standard of healthcare within CHAG facilities. It involves training internationally certified SafeCare assessors to elevate facilities to "Centres of Excellence
- Providing free diagnostics and non-invasive treatments using the Ponseti method for infants with clubfoot across Ghana. It fights local cultural stigma to ensure early care and enable normal walking.
- A newly launched $45 million, 5-year initiative to improve maternal, neonatal, and child health (MNCH), address malnutrition/malaria, and strengthen obstetric care in underserved communities.
- Focus on improving the quality of life for persons with mental illnesses by reducing stigma, increasing access to treatment, and integrating them into communities with the needed support systems.
- A nationwide approach addressing HIV, Tuberculosis, and human rights. It includes a Community-led Monitoring and Feedback Mechanism to improve health services for persons living with HIV/TB.
Our Health Research Unit, established five years ago, aims to address knowledge gaps to improve health systems. We mine insights from amassed data, document good practices, and collaborate with external research institutions.
Our Institutional Review Board (IRB) was established in 2018 to provide ethical clearance for all research. In 2023, it saw a 1300% increase in protocols, approving 108 studies, including biomedical and social research.
Our annual reports provide full transparency on our network's performance. They detail key service delivery stats, like OPD visits, and track vital health indicators, such as our best-ever Maternal Mortality Ratio
