Improving health care access for all Ghanaians
Our Board
The Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) is governed by a distinguished Fifteen (15)-Member Board of Trustees, also acting as the Governing Council. Comprising individuals with diverse and specialized expertise, the Board provides high-level strategic leadership to ensure the organization remains aligned with both CHAG’s core mission and Ghana’s national health sector policies.
As the stewards of the Association, the Board is responsible for the accountability, sustainability, and ethical oversight of all operations. The Council is uniquely constituted by representatives from four major church bodies: the Catholic Bishops Conference, the Christian Council of Ghana, the Ghana Pentecostal & Charismatic Council, and Other Member Councils.
As Board Chair of the Christian Health Association of Ghana, I am deeply honoured to serve an institution that has remained a steadfast partner in Ghana’s health sector and the largest faith-based, non-profit provider of healthcare services in the country. Founded on Christian values, ethics, and a strong commitment to human dignity, CHAG continues to play a critical role in delivering quality healthcare to underserved, vulnerable, and hard-to-reach populations.
It is both a privilege and a responsibility to provide strategic leadership in advancing CHAG’s mission of expanding equitable access to healthcare and strengthening pathways for improved health outcomes across the country. The Board of Trustees remains fully committed to ensuring that CHAG’s work continues to be guided by the principles of compassion, stewardship, integrity, respect for every human life, and preferential care for the poor and vulnerable.
As we contribute to Ghana’s pursuit of Universal Health Coverage, we look forward to deepening collaboration with government, development partners, faith-based institutions, and the private sector. Through sustained partnership and shared commitment, we can collectively build a more resilient, inclusive, and responsive health system that leaves no one behind.
