Improving health care access for all Ghanaians
Board of Trustees / Governing Council
The Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) is governed by a distinguished Fifteen (15)-Member Board of Trustees, also acting as the Governing Council. Comprising individuals with diverse and specialized expertise, the Board provides high-level strategic leadership to ensure the organization remains aligned with both CHAG’s core mission and Ghana’s national health sector policies.
As the stewards of the Association, the Board is responsible for the accountability, sustainability, and ethical oversight of all operations. The Council is uniquely constituted by representatives from four major church bodies: the Catholic Bishops Conference, the Christian Council of Ghana, the Ghana Pentecostal & Charismatic Council, and Other Member Councils.

Organizational Structure

- Led by chairman, Prof Roger Atinga, the Board of Trustees provides the high-level strategic vision for the CHAG network. They are responsible for ensuring every program and initiative aligns with Ghana's national Universal Health Coverage roadmap, championing our core mission to serve remote and underserved communities.
- Led by the Executive Director, the CHAG Secretariat serves as the central operational arm of our network. Together with his team, Dr. Yeboah turns Board strategy into measurable impact—overseeing programs, guiding performance, and ensuring accountability. Their leadership delivers our everyday operations.
- CHAG’s governance framework links vision to impact. The Board provides strategic oversight, while Member Institutions translate plans into action across Ghana. At the core, the CHAG Secretariat coordinates national programs, secures partnerships, and supports over 300 facilities in delivering compassionate care.
